Full Legs Ayurvedic Massage

The Miraculous Power of an Ayurveda Foot & leg Massage

legs massage.jpg

30 Minutes - $95

Stemming from ancient Indian medicine, an Ayurveda foot massage (Padabhyanga) can heal, revitalise and improve circulation in the entire body. Find out all you need to know about this unique type of massage and how it can benefit your overall health.

An ancient Indian saying suggests that disease never goes near a person who massages their feet before sleeping, just as snakes do not approach eagles. While this specific message has never been proven, daily foot rubs do have the ability to relax the body, increase circulation, reduce stress and offer healing benefits for illnesses. Ayurvedic Padabhyanga — an Indian massage known as an Ayurveda foot and leg massage — is especially helpful in these areas.

What Is An Ayurveda Foot Massage?

Suppressing natural urges is considered unhealthy and said to cause many illnesses and health problems, like a blockage of fluids in specific channels called srotas. Ayurveda foot and leg massages use aromatic oils and Swedana (fomentation) to unblock these channels and restore bodily fluids' transport. As a result, the entire body and nervous system are affected.

Benefits of An Ayurveda Foot & Leg Massage

Daily Ayurvedic foot rubs have many health benefits, including the ability to:

  • Promote better sleep

  • Relax the body’s physiology

  • Increase energy

  • Provide revitalisation

  • Maintain eyesight and hearing

  • Alleviate certain foot pains

  • Calm the mind and reduce stress

  • Nourish foot skin

  • Improve foot and leg muscle tone

  • Prevent sciatica

  • Boost immunity

  • Aid digestion

  • Balance emotions

  • Ward off bacterial and fungal infections

  • Keep the body’s dosha in balance

  • Provide sturdiness to the limbs

  • Cure headaches

  • Relieve menstrual symptoms

This massage can calm various ailments, including anxiety, depression, diabetes, insomnia, heel fissures and cracked skin, hypertension, and cramps, sprains and numbness in the feet.

Back and Shoulders Ayurvedic Massage

back and neck massage

30 Minutes - $110

Ayurvedic oil massage of the back, neck, and shoulders is beneficial, focused on the body's most problematic parts: back, neck, and shoulders. We use warm oil to massage "marma points", node points or the junctures of energy flow in the body. It is not pressure but a gentle and soothing massage. Massage increases the production of blood corpuscles and antibodies, which protect the body from viruses and illnesses. It vitalises the body, retards the process of ageing and brings vitality by improving the function of muscles, softens the complexion and has a favourable effect on skin quality. It has been used for thousands of years to keep good health condition, better sleep and longevity. Originally used to soothe the aches and pains of soldiers for thousands of years, the Ayurvedic back massage reduces accumulated muscular pain and tightness in the neck, spine and shoulders, leaving you feeling ultimately relieved and renewed.

Shiro-Dhara

THE MIRACLE OF AYURVEDA

120 Minutes
$300.00

One of Ayurveda’s favourite ways to relax and let go is Shirodhara, perhaps the most soothing oil treatment “the Science of Life” has to offer. Shirodhara (Shiro = head and dhara = flow) comes to us from Ayurveda, the 5000-year-old system of holistic healing from India. Its purpose is to reduce stress and induce a state of deep relaxation. Shirodhara has been used to help relieve insomnia, anxieties, fears, stress headaches and other nervous system disorders. Guests typically experience deep relaxation during the treatment.

During the treatment, a thin stream of warm, herb-infused oil (like sesame) is gently poured from a copper pot onto the forehead for a prolonged period. The trained therapist gently directs the stream over the third eye and other vital marmas (energy) points found across the forehead. The result is a state of calmness and deep relaxation — a feeling of balanced rest for the body and mind. It is called “bliss therapy” because of the profound effect that Shirodhara has upon consciousness.

The benefits of Shirodhara are magnified when performed immediately after an Ayurvedic massage or abhyanga. Just as abhyanga calms the restless body and Shirodhara calms the troubled mind.

Shiro-Abhyanga (Indian Head Massage)

20210308_105854.jpg

45 Minutes - $95

This treatment is far from the ordinary head and shoulder massage. Utilising specific marma points on the head and ears to circulate prana (subtle life force energy) enhances the vibrational body. Warm herbal oil with a sequence of particular massage strokes helps open up the head and neck channels. In this treatment, one sits easily in an upright position while one therapist gives the remedy. It is recommended for improving the senses, improves mental clarity, memory, and concentration. It also helps to alleviate a tight neck and shoulders, stimulates the scalp to detoxify the hair follicles, reducing baldness and premature greying. It also helps to soothe the eyes, ears, and head. It is a relaxing and enjoyable treatment.

Benefits

Insomnia, Brings sound sleep, Cooling to the eyes, Headache, Removes dandruff, Premature greying & hair loss, Profoundly soothing and relaxing.
